Economists have suggested announcing a six-month Corona budget
Tapasi Rabeya:  The government is preparing to give a budget of Tk 5 lakh 60 thousand crore in the next 2020-2021 financial year.
 Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal is scheduled to present the budget in Parliament on June 11.
 Due to the epidemic, the implementation of ADP will be 60 to 65 percent this time.
 The budget for the current 2019-20 fiscal year was 5 lakh 23 thousand 190 crore. In the meantime, it has been amended to reduce Tk 20,000 crore. In the next budget, the size of ADP is being estimated at Tk 2 lakh 13 thousand crore. It is 1 thousand crore more than the current financial year.
 According to the finance department, the impact of the corona will be taken into account with everything in the next budget. Funds will not be allocated except in the most urgent sectors.
 The Ministry of Planning has already informed all the ministries and departments that the health and agriculture sectors will be given more importance in the next budget. The project has to be prepared keeping in mind the issues related to these two sectors.
 Ahsan H. Mansoor, executive director of the Policy Research Institute (PRI), a private research institute, said the six-month corona budget should focus on people’s lives, livelihoods and rehabilitation.
 The target for revenue collection in the current financial year was Tk 3 lakh 8 thousand 610 crore. According to the finance department, the collection will be 55 thousand crore less than the target. Edit: Saleh Revolution
