Pakistan will not give any extra money to Zimbabwe
Sports Desk: Pakistan will tour Zimbabwe later this month. The three-match ODI and T20 matches in this series will be between the two teams. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is no longer giving Zimbabwe extra money to play limited overs cricket. The board has no plans or desire to spend the extra money.
Pakistan spent extra money to bring cricket back to their country. The PCB persuaded Zimbabwe, the West Indies and the World XI to tour with extra money.
The board had to pay ১২ 12,500 per player to Zimbabwe in 2015, US, 1 million to each member of the World XI in 2016, and US ৮ 2.5 million to the Windies in 2016. At that time, the PCB considered this work done in the name of award as right. Because, it was needed to bring back cricket.
This time it is not happening in the case of Zimbabwe. Now all that money will be spent on the development of cricket in Pakistan, women’s cricket and the country’s cricket. PCB chief executive Wasim Khan told a local media.
He said, ‘PCB has moved away from all this. There is no need to give huge financial rewards to bring international players to Pakistan. The PCB will spend more on women’s cricket, domestic cricket development, infrastructure issues, player contracts and coaching programs. – Geo News
