“Terrorism is now a challenge for every country,” said Zhao Lijian, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry. Pakistan has made many sacrifices in this regard. The international community should recognize and respect this sacrifice of the country. China dislikes any form of terrorism.
Expressing the views of the United States and India in the US-India Counter-Terrorism Joint Working Group and Designation Dialogue, Pakistan needs to take immediate, permanent and unalterable steps to ensure that no terrorist group can use any part of the country for terrorist attacks.
At the group’s 18th meeting, Mahabir Singhvi, Joint Secretary for Counter-Terrorism at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, and Nathan A, US State Department’s Counter-Terrorism Coordinator, discussed cooperation in counter-terrorism. During the talks, the two countries pledged to continue cooperation in combating terrorism.
The State Department said in a statement that it had exchanged views on the threat posed by UN-banned terrorist groups and emphasized the need to dismantle terrorist networks. These terrorist groups include al-Qaeda, ISIS, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen.
