The bride said that their love affair started within a few days of their introduction on Facebook. They got married on September 18. Now the people of his father-in-law’s house do not want to accept him, he said. He also said that he will not leave here unless he is given the status of wife.

It is known that Sagar is the supervisor of long distance bus. Two months later, the husband and mother-in-law tried to beat the bride and drive her out of the house. But when the bride went to Savar Model Police Station to lodge a complaint, her father-in-law, mother-in-law and husband locked the house and fled. He has been on a hunger strike for the last two days demanding his wife’s dignity.
The bride said that their love affair developed within a few days of their introduction through social media Facebook. Premik Sagar goes to Shanta’s house in Jhikargachha several times. Sagar said they have a number of assets, including several long-distance buses and two-storey houses. The simple-minded bride believes it. Later, at Sagar’s house in Savar, on the advice of his father Nazrul Islam, their marriage was consummated on September 16 at the Kazi office in Narayanganj.
At present, her husband and in-laws do not want to accept her, she said. He has been beaten and injured several times. He has been threatened with death if he does not leave the house. He further said that his father-in-law Nazrul Islam made a bad offer to him as he did not leave due to their threats. But the bride is reluctant to move one foot to realize the rights of the wife.
He further said that when he left his father’s house, he brought cash worth Rs 2 lakh and gold ornaments worth around Rs 3 lakh. He also left their house with Sagar and his father. The bride thinks that her husband Nazrul Islam has moved her husband away or disappeared. The last time 3 days ago, her husband informed her via SMS that her father had detained her.
Although Sagar and his father tried to contact Nazrul Islam on their mobile phones, they could not be reached. When the victim bride informed the Savar Upazila Nirbahi Officer about her demand, he assured her to send the police and sent the police to find out.
