A major air defense exercise has been held in Iran with self-made missiles, radar, bombers and drones aimed at enhancing the military’s combat capability. The exercise covers more than half of the country.
The exercise, dubbed ‘Guardians of Belayat Sky-99’, was attended by air defense units of the Iranian army as well as the aerospace force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The exercise used a variety of home-made missiles, radar, intelligence and electronic warfare equipment, said Brigadier General Abbas, a spokesman for the country’s armed forces’ joint air-defense exercise.
Also participates in various types of interceptor fighter aircraft, bombers and drone exercises. The code of this exercise was ‘Ya Rasulullah’. This exercise is organized in the month of Rabiul Awal.
