‘Walton factory clean, hygienic and environmentally friendly’

Healthy and eco-friendly. Walton is a great achievement for our country. A matter of pride. They have radically changed from import dependence. Domestic demand is being met. Again foreign exchange is being earned through exports. I was overwhelmed to see the Walton factory.
He said this while visiting Walton factory at Chandra in Gazipur on Saturday (October 18, 2020). He was accompanied by Additional Secretary of the same ministry Mahmud Hasan, Senior Assistant Director Shahidul Islam Patwari and Assistant Director of the Environment Department in Gazipur Ashraf Uddin. The energy-efficient twinfold inverter technology is used in that AC compressor, which is completely environmentally friendly and refills the 410A.
The Environment Secretary further said that the production capacity of Walton has been successfully implemented by the engineers of our country at all levels. Through Walton, we have been able to implement the target of reducing the use of substances that are harmful to the ozone layer in accordance with the Montreal Protocol. We have been praised around the world for ensuring compliance. Work is underway to further the goal of preventing HCFC gas emissions, according to the Kigali Amendment. Hopefully we can achieve this goal successfully.
He added that the Walton factory has a beautiful working environment. Necessary facilities for the staff have been ensured. All in all, Walton is instructive for the private sector. Such organizations need to be promoted. Everyone can learn how to produce green and eco-friendly products from Walton.
Earlier in the morning, SM Mahbubul Alam and Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, directors of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited, welcomed the guests with flowers when they reached the factory complex. Among others present at the time were Deputy Managing Director Nazrul Islam Sarkar, Eva Rizwana and Alamgir Alam Sarkar, Executive Director SM Zahid Hasan, Uday Hakim, Md. Tanvir Rahman, Col (retd) SM Shahadat Alam, Tawfiq-ul-Quader and Yusuf Ali, Senior Deputy Executive Director Sharif Harunur Rashid Chhani and Shahzada Selim, Media Advisor Enayet Ferdous and others.
Additional Secretary Mahmud Hasan said, “We have been enriched by inspecting the Walton factory on the spot.” I hope other organizations like Walton will also come forward for the development, progress and protection of the environment in Bangladesh. Arriving at the factory premises on Saturday morning, the guests first enjoyed a video documentary built on Walton’s huge workload. Afterwards, the guests toured the environmentally friendly manufacturing process of Walton’s well-equipped product display center, including refrigerators, molds and dyes, compressors, air conditioners, laptops, mobile phones, televisions, etc.
