How Castor Oil Works
Castor oil is made from castor beans. This pale yellow oil has been used for ages. It promotes hair growth, as well as scalp treatment. Castor oil retains moisture in the hair. Rich in fatty acids, this oil provides nutrients to the hair and helps in hair growth.
1) To prevent hair loss
Apply half a cup of castor oil from the roots to the bottom of the hair. Castor oil is thick so removing oil from the hair can be a problem. So do not apply too much oil. Leave the oil for 15-20 minutes and shampoo several times. After shampooing, dry your hair well. Do not use hair dryer or anything like that to dry hair.

2) New hair will grow in castor oil
Castor oil helps new hair to grow. Mix 1 tablespoon castor oil with 2 tablespoons coconut oil, 2 tablespoons almond oil and 2 tablespoons sesame oil. Mix four types of oil well and apply it on the hair roots and scalp. You can heat the oil mixture lightly. After keeping it for at least 1 hour, shampoo it.

3) Castor oil for hair growth
A) Use of castor oil in hair mask
Mixing castor oil in the hair mask will moisturize, nourish and rejuvenate the hair.
Mix well with 1-2 tablespoons of castor oil, 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil, 5-6 jaba flower petals. Heat the oil for 10 seconds, then massage it well on the scalp. Cover the head with a steam towel. After one hour, shampoo with lukewarm water. Doing this every week will make the hair grow.

B) Castor oil and coconut oil
Mix well with 2 tablespoons of castor oil and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Massage well on the scalp for five minutes. It should be kept for at least 2 hours. Then wash with shampoo. Coconut oil contains fatty acids which will strengthen the hair and prevent hair loss.

C) Aloe vera and castor oil
Make a paste with half a cap of aloe vera gel, 2 teaspoons of castor oil, 1 teaspoon of mint leaf powder and 2 teaspoons of fenugreek powder. Apply the paste well on the hair and scalp. Leave it for 2-3 hours. Then wash the hair with mild hot water with less alkaline shampoo.

Side effects
Although castor oil is good for hair, overuse can cause dizziness, nausea, fainting, skin rashes, abdominal pain and diarrhea. So if you use castor oil, keep an eye on your body. Contact your doctor if you have any problems.
